(Sean's Perspective)
Sandy doesn't bother to undress when we return to the hotel. Utterly exhausted for reasons I don't understand, she crawls into the middle of the king-sized bed in my room and curling up, promptly falls asleep. It was a vastly more arduous journey escaping from Desert pack and swimming south to Mexico than anything we've done in the last few days, but she seems constantly to be hungrier and needing more sleep than she ever has.
My best guess is her Were conversion might be catching up to her. Her food selections at dinner—carbohydrate and sugar-loaded waffle, pizza and the chips—are never on her menu not to mention were utterly repulsive. Then again, Fae are a predominantly vegetarian species. Maybe this is how a carnivore half exerts itself trapped inside that delectable Fae body of hers.
