Chereads / Adonnis, My Yummy CEO / Chapter 4 - Fourth

Chapter 4 - Fourth

On the following day, I'm in the mall to freshen up after the events of the previous day. The intensity of my chest hammering at that time was unbearable. What if he wakes up and sees me? What did I intend to say? It was his fault. Referring to a man I talked with at the time, if he had accompanied me inside, none of this would have happened. Speaking of, I had noticed him in the distance. I was ready to turn around when he noticed me and approached me with a smile, saying,

"I know, it's you. How are you? Do you remember who I am? It's fortunate that I came here; else we wouldn't have met. " He said

My brows furrowed in response to what he said.

"And why is that?" I asked him. But he was unfazed, and he even laughed at me.

"You're funny, you know that? Just relax, "he says.

"Mr. CEO, He's looking for you. He wants you to come into the office and report. Why are you leaving so quickly that time? You could have just waited for him to wake up. Because of that, I've been punished. He wanted me to look for you everywhere."

"How could it have been my fault? Was it my fault that he was sound asleep? I'm hoping he hasn't awoken." It's makes no difference to me if he reports it.

"All right, it's my fault," the man said laughing at what I said.

"I didn't accompany you inside. If ever your interested, you can come to the office at any time."

"I'm no longer interested." It's was something I told him.

"All right, I'll be ahead of you." He says tapping my back.

" I hope you can change your mind." I was about to say something but he had already walked away.

In my head , Mr. Delectable CEO, we will undoubtedly meet. In my enter life no man has ever put me to sleep. So hold your breath for my come back. I know it's wrong to fantasize someone's property, but I couldn't help myself. I laughed and smacked myself, scolding myself for thinking about my fathers age; if my fathers is still alive, I would be harshly reprimand by him. I instantly lost myself as a result of what that man stated. I'm not sure if I'll go back because I've already lost my appetite to work.

I considered returning home because I had been in the city for much too long. I'm confident that my Aunt will find me if I'm going home late.

My aunt is very caring even though she is in the middle of trouble right now. I knew she was hurt by what was happening and she still hoping that her husband would come back. She just said she was happy because her husband left her since he did nothing but give her trouble, but I knew in her heart she was crushed and hurt by what was happening. Our house has been very quiet since my uncle left the house and went with another woman. There is a misunderstanding that no one will shout in the morning. No one would get mad at me because I didn't do the household chores. A big change took place in my aunt's life. It no longer smiles and is always looking away.

No one will be happy when the person they love finds someone else. I kept thinking that suddenly someone ran into me. I feel like I'm going to fall. I feel the pain in my head.

Looking at the one that collided with me was a woman with long black hair. It is holding on to it's forehead. And her expressions was like she was hurt.

"I'm sorry, Miss, I didn't see you." I told her.

She shook her head.

"I'm sorry, I'm in a hurry because I didn't realize you were coming out as well." She replied.

I nodded. So I proceeded to exit the store. And the woman I bumped into continued to walk inside.

After that, I continue walking out of the supermarket. I was standing on the side of the road, waiting for a taxi, when someone approached me.

"Hi, you're the one I ran into earlier, right?" she asked as she approached me.

"Yes, I'm snow," I replied.

"My name is Eloise Fay, and it's nice to meet you," she remarked as she shook my hand.

"Same to you," I said, a smile on my face.

"May I invite you for some snacks? This is my treat," she said.

I'm hesitant to nod because I'm blushing. For the time being, I just know her. But it was her genuine smile that convinced me to say yes.

I'll say yes after that. At the snack shop, we take a walk together. When we got inside, Eloise walked to the desk to order some snacks for us, while I looked for a vacant seat. I take a glance around the corner. While waiting for Eloise, I sit.

Later on, she was approaching to the table where I was sitting, an place the one she was carrying. In two glasses, place two sliced cakes and a glass of juice.

"How come you're carrying that? Where's the staff?" I inquired.

"Snow, they basically have self-service here," she explained.

I've got a scowl on my face. As a result, they had a tight budget because they couldn't afford to pay some of its employees.

When Eloise finished placing hers, I took mine.

"All right, Snow, what will you do for a living?" she said as she sipped her juice.

"I'm unemployed and have no particular interest in myself," I responded.

"Really?" she asks, laughing.

"But I can see something that interesting in you," she adds.

"Tsk," I muttered,

"We just met right now, yet you've already started making fun of me."

"No, I'm not!" She exclaims.

"Eloise Fay, lower your voice, we're at the snacks house," I remarked.

With her, I felt completely at ease. It's as though we've known one other for a long time.

"I like you, Fay," I said.

Her brows drew together. "Gross," she responded,

"I'm not into women; guy is my preference."

"Crazy! I adore being your friend." I response.

"I just say it in a plain statement. You're merely deaf, so you can obviously hear what I say."

"By the way, I'm only teasing you," she explained.

"Damn you."

She erupted in laughter. This woman appears upbeat, as if she doesn't have any issues.

"If you wish, you can come to my place," she offered.

"What would I do there?" I asked her.

"Because we were buddies, we could go swimming in the pool," she explained.

"I'll think about it."

"Just don't think about it," she said.

"You're ecstatic," I said.

"Of course. It's the first time that I have friend." She said in a serious tone. My brows furrow. Is it true that this woman had no friends?

It's as if she was a millionaire.

"What are you staring at?"

"Nothing. I'm just shocked by what you say."

"I'm telling you the truth. I was just more prepared to be alone than to be with a friend's."

"How come?" I asked her.

"Simply, I'm a loner," she replied.

I have a lot of questions for her, but it's becoming late.

"I'll have to go, Fay, it's becoming late."

"Sure, but please pay me a visit at home. Here's my address," she said, handing me a piece of post-it note with her address written on it.

She paid our bill after that. We went outside together.

She walked away after saying farewell to me. While I was riding a taxi, I stopped at a fruit stand first.

So I walked to the fruit shop when I got out. Before I'll go home, I want to buy some fruits. So, how did my aunt spend her day? I collected apples, oranges, and grapes in front of the fruit store. Before helping me pick the fruit, the saleswoman took a look at me.

I was contemplating whether or not. I would return to the office where I'll applying for a secretary position.

I was disappointed because I knew I couldn't conduct the interview because the CEO was sleeping.

Then I overheard the saleswoman say something.

"The oranges were wonderful for a pregnant woman," she continued, and I asked if I knew who she was talking about.

"Excuse me?" I asked.

"I was talking to you. How far along is your tummy?" she asked.

My eyes widened as I realized that the saleswoman assumed I was pregnant, which is why I bought fruits. I frown knowing that some people nowadays have this misconception.

I couldn't stop giggling. "You thought it was wrong for me to get pregnant. I don't have a boyfriend, so why did I become pregnant?" I said.

The saleswoman was humiliated. After I paid for what I brought, I took it. I walked away from the saleswoman who was speaking in hushed tones.

After that, I took a taxi back to my house.
