Synopsis
This is a Subnautica fanfic, I got this idea because of three reasons. Number 1; I have been wanting to create a fanfic for a while, number 2; I got the idea to make a video game fanfic because of the fanfic called ‘Dragonborn saga’, and number 3; Because I love Subnautica and I haven’t found a Subnautica fanfic. The MC will have some special powers that won’t be very strong at the beginning and he has to train very hard to make stronger. You will guess what the powers are in the first or second chapter. For the sake of the story, planet 4546B will be the same size as earth but have a slightly higher gravity, everything else will be the same... maybe

Chapter 1 - Prologue: Death

On March 28th, 2023, a man was playing an ocean survival game called Subnautica, he had done many playthroughs of the game, even to the point where he started speed running it on hardcore. Well, the word 'man' would be an overstatement, he was actually only 16 years old.

Also, since he was on PC so he could put mods into the game, but the only mod he got was the mod to put the Gargantuan Leviathan into the game. Currently, he was in the facility that had the Sea Emperor, he already had all of the materials to make the hatching enzyme.

Just as he was about to get a personal best record, he heard knocking on the front door of his house, which made him wonder who could be at his house on the weekend, and he had to pause the game. Walking down the stairs, he opened the door to see that it was his parents at the door.

Surprised, the man smiled and hugged his parents as he was glad to see them, and he invited them into his house. Closing the door, the man got a glass of water for his parents and brought some fruits in case they wanted a snack.

His mother drank some of the water while his father didn't even touch it as a smile hung on his face. "So Jake, how would like to go on a two week long vacation to Hawaii, all expenses paid for, while your mother and I watch the house?"

Raising an eyebrow, the man, Jake, wondered what the special occasion was for his parents to offer him that kind of deal. "What's the special occasion?" Smiling even brighter, his father patted his mother's shoulder as he looked at her with tenderness in his eyes.

"Because it is your birthday along with the fact that your mother is pregnant." Whispering the last part of the sentence, his father looked at him with anticipation while Jake just had a look of surprise on his face.

Smiling in the next moment, Jake pulled his mother into a large bear hug before he started to tear up a little bit. "Congratulations!" After he said that, a single tear of joy fell down his cheek, and then he had to turn away to not let his parents see that he was crying.

Wiping his eyes, Jake turned back to his parents while a joyful smile hung on his face, he then answered their previous question. "Sure, I would love to go on that trip to Hawaii, I'll bring back some souvenirs for you two."

Heading outside, Jake brought in all of the luggage that his parents had in their vehicle, which were just a few cases of clothes. Bringing them up the stairs, he placed them in the room beside his room, which was the guest room.

After he was done bringing in the luggage, Jake gave his parents a tour of his house along with an explanation as to how some of the electronics worked. "Lastly, this is my best friend." Jake said this as while pointing to a small aquarium that had a goldfish living in it.

Not needing to explain how to feed it since there was a piece of paper with instructions on it, Jake went up to his room and filled a backpack with clothes and nothing else. "By the way, when is the flight to Hawaii?"

Shouting down the stairs, Jake got a reply a second later, "It's in three hours!", his father shouted in reply as Jake got a pair of keys, a black leather jacket, and a motorcycle helmet from on a coat hangar. The reply caused him to fumble with keys as he was going to pick them up.

Putting them in his pocket, Jake put on the jacket and the helmet while he carried the backpack down the stairs. Heading to the front door, he gave a hug to his parents before exiting the door and walking to his motorcycle.

His motorcycle was a custom made Yamaha XS400. Strapping on the backpack, Jake started his motorcycle and rode towards the airport in which his flight was scheduled to take place. "Should we have told him that it was twins that I'm pregnant with?"

Jake's father said this while watching his son's back getting further away. "No, he probably wouldn't have taken the vacation if he knew that it was twins. You know how protective he can be, just because he's not our biological son doesn't mean that he wouldn't be protective of us.

Remember the time when he had chased down a man who had threatened us with a knife and ended up trying to stab me when I wouldn't give him my wallet? Jake had been getting ice cream in the store across the street with the money we had given him when he was 14."

"How could I forget! A man on a motorcycle had come and picked up the guy with the knife, they then started riding away, but Jake had caught up to them in seconds as he flipped the motorcycle."

"I just wish that he would stop fighting in those underground matches that he's always fighting in, he could start boxing or even MMA instead, there is much less of a chance of death in those than in his underground fights." Sighing together, they went back inside.

Half an hour later, a large man wearing a leather jacket with a backpack on his back and a helmet on his head walked into the airport, which was almost empty as it was 4 in the morning. However, the man was immediately stopped by security as he was deemed suspicious.

Taking of his helmet, backpack, jacket, and shoes, the man went through all the security checks before he was showed to his gate by a beautiful woman who was one of the staff at the airport.

She was arranged by the higher ups of the airport and military for the soul purpose of trying to keep the man calm, but they hadn't mentioned the appearance of the man to the woman. Because of that, the woman nearly fainted at the sight of the man.

Standing at a height of 270 centimetres and weighing in at 285 kilograms, he had black curly hair that was tied into a ponytail, pine green eyes, a clean shaven face, and a warm smile that made him seem extremely friendly.

Suffering from gigantism, Jake maintained a strict exercise routine and diet that would make sure to allow him to not have the main problems that come with gigantism. It also helped that his parents were both doctors, which helped along with them being well off enough that they didn't need to ever worry about treatment if he needed it.

Sitting down, Jake started dozing off while waiting for the time to board the plane, and he didn't notice that more and more people had started to take pictures of him while he slept.

After 2 hours, he was gently woken up by the same woman who had led him to the gate, but she was a little pale when Jake looked at her. "Sir, it's time to board the plane, you don't have much longer before you won't be allowed to board."

Snapping his eyes open, Jake stood up quickly and brought his belongings with him while rushing to the plane that he was supposed to be boarding. A little bit of drool was on his lip, but he didn't bother to wipe it away.

Once on the plane, he went to the first class seats and sat down in his assigned seat, which was way too small to fit his body. After buckling himself up, he took out a small book from his backpack.

The front read 'Avatar: The Last Airbender' book one, it was and is still Jake's favourite series of all time. It was his favourite series for the sole reason that it was the first book he bought himself and the first animated show he had watched.

Reading the entire series tens of times a year, he loved it so much that he considered getting the arrow tattoos that Aang has, but his parents talked him out of it. Not only did he read and watch Avatar: The Last Airbender, but also The Legend Of Korra, although he didn't like The Legend Of Korra very much.

Flipping through the pages, Jake put on some headphones and started listening to a mix of classical and EDM music. Because of his fighting style, Jake had started to take dancing lessons, but he had to stop when he had accidentally injured his dancing teacher when they wanted him to demonstrate how to waltz properly.

In the midst of reading, he felt the plane shake suddenly as masks fell from above him. The flight attendants started panicking while trying to calm down the other passengers, who were also panicking.

Removing his headphones, Jake learned that the a missile had struck the wing of the plane, and that caused him to start panicking slightly as well, but he still kept a level enough head to not cause a commotion. Just because he was an underground fighter didn't mean that he wasn't scared of death, he was, just not a normal fear of death.

He wouldn't be afraid if someone came at him with a knife or a gun since he could shrug off most injuries from such weapons, he wasn't even afraid of being hit by cars. His fear of death came from things that he was afraid of, such as planes, boats, the ocean, and suffocating.

Basically, he was afraid of the way he would die, not the fact that he would die, just how he would die. Looking out the window, he saw that he was above the ocean, and that caused him to start sweating as he imagined all kinds of mysterious and terrifying creatures dwelling in the dark depths.

Noticing something off in the distance, Jake squinted his eyes and saw that a jet was flying towards them incredibly fast. Widening his eyes, he saw that another missile flew from the jet and was coming straight for the plane.

Unbuckling from his seat, he rushed out of first class to warn the other passengers, and he thought that he would have enough time. Reaching the other passengers, he immediately shouted out.

"EVERYONE HOLD ON TH-" He was about to say that there was another missile coming, but he wasn't fast enough. Striking the side of the plane, the entire left side of the plane was gone, the cabin decompressed rapidly due to the size of the hole and their altitude.

Grabbing hold of one of the seats, Jake watched as many more people were sucked out of the plane. Disoriented because of the shockwave, Jake's ears were ringing accompanied by blood leaking from his ears and nose.

Barely able to hold on to the seat, he felt the change in the direction of the plane as it started spinning and nosediving down towards the ocean. Watching the outside of the hole, Jake climbed into the seat that was much to small for him and buckled himself in while seeing that the water was getting close and closer.

Bracing for impact, he slammed forward and knocked his head against the seat in front of him, which made him blackout momentarily. It was a much larger force compared to the blows that any of the other underground fighters could possibly deliver.

Waking up in less than 15 seconds, Jake opened his eyes while being more disoriented than when the missile had struck. Fumbling to unbuckle himself, he took a few tries before he was successfully able to unbuckle himself.

Crawling out of his seat, he stood up to check the state of the other passengers, and saw that they were unconscious. Walking forward, he noticed that water was already filling into the cabin, so he worked as fast as he could.

Waking other people up, Jake got the inflatable boats that were in the cabin and threw them outside as he pulled the small string to inflate them. Turning around and helping other people, he ripped off the seatbelts that were stuck and made sure that they got to the boats alright.

After a few minutes, everyone was already out of the plane cabin, even first class, but just as Jake was about to leave the cabin, he heard the sudden cry of a baby, and he immediately stopped in his tracks.

Swiftly turning around and locating the source of the crying, he saw that there was a baby that couldn't have been more than six months old in one of the bathrooms. Rushing over without a second thought, Jake grabbed the baby and moved his adrenaline filled body.

Just as he handed off the baby to one of the first few people to regain their senses, he felt a sharp pain on the back of his neck along with a cold sensation as he was turning around to make sure that there wasn't any other people that he may have missed.

Turning his head he saw that the man who had taken the baby from him had a massive empty syringe in his hand. Fury overtook Jake's mind as he punched the man in the head, which caved in due to the force, and he took the baby from him.

Swimming to the boat, he could feel that his movements were getting more and more sluggish, but he couldn't stop swimming or else the baby would drown. Reaching the boat, he gave the baby to a woman who was closer to the edge, and then he tried to get on the boat as well, but his body wasn't doing what he wanted it to do.

With his eyes wide open, Jake let go of the side of the boat and started sinking quickly because he had no fat to help him float, along with his weight. Realizing that the drug he had been injected with was succinylcholine, Jake knew that there was nothing he could do.

Jake wasn't superhuman, he was just a guy that suffered from gigantism and was lucky enough to have parents that knew how to allow him to grow up healthily. There was a good thing about having gigantism and having a body as built as his was.

Normally, it takes 40-60 seconds for succinylcholine to take effect, but that was for a normal dosage, which Jake didn't get. The dosage he received was a staggering 0.5 litres, which was 5-50 times the regular dosage.

However, even with the large dosage, it still took 3 minutes to paralyze him, and that was taking into effect that he was heavily exerting himself. Watching the bottom of the boat getting further and further away, Jake felt the water burning his nose and lungs.

Fear was now the only emotion that was occupying his mind, how do you think that someone with a fear of the ocean would feel if they were paralyzed and drowning in the ocean?

Struggling to try and move, Jake was able to raise a single arm towards the surface before the light started fading from his vision. A single thought then raced through his mind before he was about to lose consciousness, he wouldn't be able to see his baby sibling, and that caused him to start to cry, but his tears would forever be unseen.
