After following Jenna's car for a while, they made it to a gated townhome community. She parked in the garage while they had to park in the driveway. She let them in quickly, as if hoping no one would see.
Before either of them could say anything, she sweetly cooed at the small flock of black and white kittens swarming around her feet before popping open several cans of wet food and sticking them onto paper plates. That was the sister he knew all right. She had never been able to resist baby talking any animal, even reptiles.
Jonas smiled. It was nice to see something familiar.
A moment later he looked around and realized something that made his smile drop. This was obviously a man's house. The furniture and decorations were sparse and the pictures on the wall were of a male of varying ages and an old woman mixed with pictures of the same man with how Jenna looked now.
