"Do you own a baseball bat?" was the first thing Tessa asked Bryce when he picked her up from work the day before New Year's Eve.
He frowned. "No, do I need one?"
"Yeah, for the piñata!"
"Oh yeah, I didn't think of that. Here I thought we could use your rolling pin like you did on those poor Jolly Ranchers."
Tessa rolled her eyes at him. "A rolling pin isn't strong enough for that! Have you never done a piñata before?"
"Nope."
"I cannot believe how uncultured you are. What kind of candy do you like? I need to prepare it properly and that can't be done with only candies I want. I'm more of a chocolate person than a fruity person in general but I do like my Jolly Ranchers."
"I'm the other way around," Bryce said with a laugh. "My favorite is Sour Patch Kids but I'm cool with pretty much anything."
