Chereads / Jinn slayer / Chapter 81 - The showdown

Chapter 81 - The showdown

Lily opened her eyes. Weight was on her breast. She looked down to see Jodi laying on top of her, dying from his wounds.

"Jodi!!" Lily screamed as she flipped over and pushed Jodi. Jodi smiled faintly as blood poured from his mouth. "I'm…okay. Help me up." Jodi forced out of his mouth. Lily could tell that he was in pain.

"Jodi, with this wound…you'll eventually-"

"I know. I refuse to fight against someone with my full-power. Especially a fellow slayer." Jodi's curse emerged over him. The jinn weeped for Jodi. "Jodi….my baby." It cried.

Lily and the jinn cried out. "Lily…this…I have so much to say. I'm getting cold." Jodi sighed. He looked up at the jinn. "One last time…I can't die here yet. Fuse with me….mother."

While Joey moved Amber and Natalia out of the area. Kebushie slowly walked behind Ahana. (There's no point. At this rate…the town will explode and cause a nuke-like explosion from the amount of jinn energy in the area. Is that-)

"You sure do think a lot, Kebushie." Ahana said while facing the other way in the middle of the large crater.

Kebushie put down his sword and walked towards Ahana. Ahana turned to look at Kebushie. "You're confident. How do you know I won't just rip your throat out?"

Kebushie sat down next to Ahana. "Because…you aren't evil. No matter how I look at it. Hell…you almost sound like me." Kebushie said with a little laugh.

Ahana dropped her guard and sat next to Kebushie. There was a moment of silence between them. "You just don't understand, Kebushie. The future I saw…it doesn't amount to what you want to do. You'll start an apocalypse. I'd I weren't here, the angels would've killed 1/3 of mankind. I did it…only for Joey and the future. Everything is to avoid what's coming…if that's even possible."

"What's coming?"

"Something that makes what you wanna do innocent."

"I see." Kebushie sighed. "Well, I'll leave you to it. This…will be the last time that we speak." Kebushie said as he stood up.

"Not true. We shall meet again, old friend." Ahana said as she stood up and sharpened her blades. "After I handle this…I'm going to kill you."

"Why's that?"

"You aren't a good man, Kebushie. You're a threat."

Kebushie chuckled. "Looking forward to it."

He said as he dissapeared into thin air.

Joey flew towards the large spell covering the entire town. "Beyond this is a lot of people. Stay hidden. I'll be out to find you guys, okay?" Joey said as he slowly backed away.

"Joey…what are you trying to do, exactly?" Natalia asked.

"I'm…just tired of seeing people die. Some way or somehow…I will….fix it." Joey said with determination in his eyes. "You guys can't sense it, but the town itself if a ticking bomb. I don't have much time. I can't sense Lily or Jodi anywhere. I'm going to search real quick before I make my move on Ahana."

"Just…be safe, Joey. I'll try to do something to draw the crowd of people away. I know most of the country is looking down on this town."

Joey have Amber a nod. "Thank you." Joey whispered as he flew in the opposite direction.

"Are we really leaving?" Natalia asked.

Amber chuckled and held out her hand. "Nah. Joey is a fool for thinking we'd run. I'm not saying we fight Ahana…but simply weaken her to change the outcome of the battle. Kebushie's plan went to straight shit."

"How would we do that?!" Natalia asked.

"Before I show you…know that this has nothing to do with me switching sides or anything." Amber warned.

Natalia tensed up. "What…did you-"

"She's talking about me." A woman whispered in Natalia's ear. The voice froze Natalia in place. A flash of red light surrounded her as she could feel nothing but death.

(What…are you-)

A woman floated past Natalia. She wore a white glowing dress and a hat that covered her face and hair. "I didn't think it'd come to this." Amber sighed. She looked at Natalia. "This…is the jinn Elizabeth is working for."

Natalia reached for her gun but her hand was stopped. "No need to be frightened. I don't have the energy needed to crush you all ,yet." The jinn said.

"What is it you want, Amber?" She asked. Amber paused for a moment. "I…want to make a deal with you."

"Amber, don't do it! Joey can handle-"

"JOEY?" The jinn said with a loud voice. "Don't worry about the kid. This deal is worth it." Amber said.

The woman gave Amber a curious look and rubbed her chin. "Go on."

(I can't find them…anywhere. I think…they're gone?)

Joey floated over the town and took a moment to focus. "There's no other living thing here. I can't sense it." Ahana said.

Joey turned around and put up his fist. (I didn't even hear you.)

"I know." Ahana chuckled. "So, tell what your plan is. I'm curious to know what you'll be trying to do."

"Well…you can't kill-"

"I can. I'll just have to bring you back. And no I don't have the wish jinn. I destroyed that a long time ago."

Joey tensed up. "You…destroyed it?"

"Yep. No need to bring the dead back. You…are important. Come with me before I make you." Ahana said with a serious look on her face.

Joey didn't budge. Ahana gave him a little smirk and laughed. "Oh, little brother thinks he can handle me." She joked.

"I'm not your little brother." Joey said.

"Oh, but you are. Me,you, and Lily are all gonna have a great time. It's a shame…Jackson would've loved to see everyone happy." Ahana said. "Too bad he's dead."

There was silence. Soft wind blew as Joey kept staring Ahana in her eyes. Joey reached behind his back and pulled out his sword.

"That sword…belonged to the very first jinn slayer to ever touch this Earth. There's a lot I don't know about you, Joey. I might've even been wrong about a lot of things. You don't know it's power. I'm not worried about any of it."

"Heh. No one is around. I'm about to really let loose, Ahana. You should stop talking for amonce and actually prepare yourself."

"Who do you think…you're talking-"

"Infinity counter…crasher ball!"

Ahana was caught off guard. The ball pushed her away and deep into the ground. Ahana pushed the ball back into the air, causing a massive explosion.

Ahana did a back-flip and landed on her feet. Her two arms were both bruised from Joey's attack.

"I landed the first hit. Makes me the more superior here." Joey said. He landed softly in front of Ahana. She smiled and took a stance.

"I'm going…to absolutely love this." She laughed.

Ahana pulled out both of her sword and swung them. Joey pulled out another sword. "Jackson's demon sword? How did you-"

"I said enough talk. Let's do this."

Joey flew towards Ahana at great speed. Ahana leaned back and avoided him. She spun around to see the red glowing sword headed towards her Allah eye.

Ahana used a sword to block Joey. She kicked him away and quikcly pursued him. Joey flew towards a nearby building.

The building was 5 stories tall and was very thick in size. Joey flew in from the bottom while Ahana flew over it. She took a deep breath and dropped on top of the building, causing it to collaspe.

Joey bursted from the ruble and threw his sword at Ahana. It nicked her on the side of her face. (Cheeky bastard!) Ahana thought as she slammed her swords together to merge them. (What?!) Joey thought as she landed a powerful blow that slashed Joey from the shoulder to his left-side hip.

Joey was then pushed away from the building and slammed into the ground. Ahana was using her eye and kept Joey there. "I'll just kill you and bring you back when I need you! Nothing is wrong here!" Ahana yelled as she leaped into the air and was about to stab him with the sword.

Joey took a deep breath and yelled out loud. His voice pushed Ahana higher into the air. She moved her arms out of the way to see Joey had disappeared.

Ahana used her eyes to see. Joey was coming behind her. She turned around and landed a powerful punch with her free-hand.

While being punched, Joey grabbed onto Ahana's arm and twisted her sword from her hand.

Ahana then kicked Joey's sword from his hand. The two were falling to the ground. Joey pushed off and held the demon sword in front of him. "Demon…infinity counter slash!"

"Oh?!"

Ahana clapped her hands. A large forcefield blocked the attack.

Joey and Ahana landed on the ground again. "This is fun. You still can't keep up, Joey-boy." Ahana remarked as Joey notcied a large amount of blood leaking from his stomach area.

Joey put down the demon sword and took a fighting stance with his fist. Ahana nodded her head and threw her sword to the side.

"You wanna know something, Ahana? I…just can't believe how dumb you've gotten. I'm about to really let loose right now. I think you'll be surprised."

"Show me."

"Okay."

Joey darted towards Ahana. She was shocked. (This is his speed? He's…even farther than Jodi!)

Joey punched Ahana. She took the punch and stood in place. The two began to trade blows at a very fast rate. The entire town was shaking from their blows.

Joey did a front-flip and prepared himself to kick Ahana on top of the head. She countered it with her own front-flip, dodging Joey's leg. She was bringing her own leg down on Joey's head.

The kick landed, making him hit the ground, head first. The impact caused a small crater in the ground. Ahana stomped her foot against his head. "What a pain in the ass." Ahana said as a large cut appeared on her arm.

Ahana smiled wide. "So, it is true!! That's the way, Joey-boy!" She laughed as multiple slashes appeared all over her body.

Ahana jumped back. Joey jumped up and pursued her. Ahana blocked his fist. She twisted her body and landed a powerful kick on Joey.

Joey was hit and sent into a nearby house. He flew out of the house to see Ahana's body covered in slashes and blood. "Her healing has slowed dramatically. I can win! I can take her down!"

Ahana brushed off her shoulder. "Damn. Didn't expect the brat to copy abilities. Those were Elizabeth's slashes." Ahana took a moment to crack her neck. "That's it for round one, Joey-boy. You're struggling…even in your demon form." Ahana chuckled.

"Struggling? I'm fine. You all thought you knew my power…but you don't. I don't know much…but I do know…whoever I've build bonds with…they have a chance of dying. That's one of my abilities from my curse." Joey explained.

"Heh. You don't say?"

Joey landed a few yards in front of Ahana. The two locked eyes. Joey held a hand sign in front of his face.

(He can do that?!)

Ahana did the same. The two chanted the word: "Ritual!"
