As the sun sets up vibrantly in the skies, the warm lumen would glisten all over the vicinity. Not leaving behind any dark spots on 30th Ward Avenue street. As usual, the city was spirited with the populace occupied with their daily lives. It was the end of March, people would be busier than conventional due to the upcoming festival. It was all for the preparation for Mid-April as the small buds could be discerned just about everywhere in the sectors. The cacophonies of the vehicles could be heard loud and sharp, a daily lullaby of the city. At the side of the streets, a lot of carriages could seem lined up straight, the fragrance of the fruits and flower beds could prevail clear as day, shops like bakery, groceries, and vegetable stalls were inhabited by the residents, bargaining and making choices for buying this and that, meanwhile, their children would hold on to ladies garments, tugging and pushing each other and engulfing themselves in the crowd, there is always a possibility of losing one's child but that never occurred around the city. The gravel road would look shabby yet so clean without a trace of scrap pilling upon the route. All the faces were radiantly shining with excitement and contentment. Meanwhile, people could be caught a glimpse of an individual with unusual features making them vary from another person who could seem to be petrified or perplexed by the sudden appearance.
A boy who was hovering over the place tugging at his mother's frock caught a glimpse of the lady's figure who was sequestered would seem to be disputed. He could seem to fill with numerous emotions clustering on each other. Making his way through the crowd, he informed other children who were just about his age could seem bewildering.
"Who's that? Is that a cat? What's that thing?" it was all they'd ever say after gazing at the lassie. However, as it comes off she's not vulnerable to society yet people are inclined to believe that she's a peril to their society. Not too long ago, there was a project that took place in the secure laboratory of creating life. She's an experimental subject yet so fragile and calm like a normal human with a healthy mind would be. Due to her humanoid feline appearance based on her species, she was considered indifferent. "She looks like a cat yet a human being just like us, how's that possible? Is her parents a cat?`` They continued their argument, gazing at the individual who was leaning her back to the plank, holding a satchel in her hand. She almost seemed like every other girl, she had a mature figure, flickering emerald assorted with red features gazes which were looking for someone, hairs were like silky threads shimmering underneath sun's lumens tied with a green bow from behind and felines features like her ears covered with white and delicate furs were like snowy camellia blooming over the head making the individual unique. On top of that, the fashion sense was normalized and sophisticated like a well-mannered young lady. "...she's just normal yet so different–" the voice cut off as their mother sank deeper and deeper into the shop.
"Sorry, did I keep you waiting for me too long?" the voice unhurriedly resonated through her ears as she was being pulled out by her train of thoughts. It was from the bakery's merchandiser who called out the young lady. Due to her honest nature, she nodded without looking into his eyes. As she encountered much prejudice and false comments from the people who are not too close yet gossip like they knew her for years. It was arduous yet she withstood with humiliation and agony for her distinct features. Then again, she would simply ignore and forgive people without holding against them, she flinched as the man sat down beside her.
"Oh, my apologies, did I scare you? I didn't mean to...it was a hard day, my legs can't keep up with this rush today." he sighed with a bittersweet smile.
"I-it's okay," she whispered, not making any eye contact. Ensuring the pace of conversation, the man didn't rush and waited for the lady. "I would like to work as an assistant or co-worker in your shop, sir.'' The voice was fragile just like her but it was soothing just like a sweet lullaby of a bird chirping in the morning. He understood the awkwardness in their conversation and didn't say anything until the lady felt satisfied. There was a brief moment of silence between them and the lady started whispering again, "Please consider having me...I-i would work hard and won't cause any trouble to you, sir." He looked at her trembling, drenched in a little bit of sweat. "Thank you for letting out your feelings. I know it's rough and difficult for you to keep up with people's pace but do not worry. I will wait for you to suit yourself." he said with a brimming smile plastered on his face. Again, the thoughts rushed through her head battling over. She mumbles, "Why is he not afraid of me? Why isn't he making any comments? Why didn't he insult her figure? Why would he be so nice to someone like me who is so different from the rest of other people?" as he stood up taking the lead viewing by the nature of their conversation. "It would be nice if we exchanged our introduction, don't you think so, young lady?" he smiled. "I will start first, I am Nakamura Shinji. It's a pleasure to make your acquaintance." the lady stood up and mumbled, "I-i am Petra. It's nice to meet you."
