"I'm okay," I lied, trying to get Noah to put me down. "I'm not in labor."
Honestly, I wasn't sure.
There were no contractions or pain that warranted Noah's concern. All I had was a headache and discomfort in my back and belly—that wasn't the same thing. Yet, he refused to put me down, Benji hurrying beside him. I didn't want to leave Penelope upstairs, but the Tias insisted she'd be safe with them no matter what, so I agreed.
"Noah put me down," I hissed as I heard the irritated voices of someone approaching the stairs. "Please."
