I became obsessed and paranoid.
Everyone now knows I wasn't giving my full attention to anything. Before, I was a slacker and nothing more than a half-ass mom. Now? I scare everyone with how I'm acting. Fuck, I'm scaring myself. Yet, I don't know what else to do.
"Luna, she's perfectly healthy," Bailey assures for the fifth time we walk into her exam room. "Both girls are doing fine. All four of your pups are healthy, and by the last ultrasounds, Peter's sure if you gave birth right now, their lungs would be strong enough to breathe on their own. Considering what we looked at a few weeks ago, that's a miracle from the moon goddess."
"I know, but I thought she felt a little warm this morning, and she's got a little rash on her cheek," I showed Bailey the spot where Penelope had developed a little pink rash. "It wasn't there when I put her to bed last night, and... could it be chicken pox or scarlet fever?"
