Nefretiri
"Lady Nefretiri," I almost stopped walking as the Shurakai who'd come to see me bowed low at the bottom of the stairs, his squad doing the same. "It's an honor to meet the Lady of Justice."
"Lady of Justice?" I frowned, not releasing Steven's hand as he helped me down the last few stairs. I didn't want to look weak, but as far along as I was, falling was a possibility. "That's a new one."
"With all due respect to you, my Lady. What else could we call the wife of the Prince of Assassins and the Prince of Fortune?" He rose from his position, though his companions did not. "You hold both the light and the dark in both men. The title felt fitting."
"Jushion isn't my husband," I huffed, unable to help myself.
The lead Shurakai only smiled knowingly, but the others stared at me with fear and respect. It was confusing. Why were they looking at me like I'd said something dangerous? Had I? With Shurakai, it's hard to guess.
