I leaned against the wall, the memory still consuming me.
It was exactly what I needed to hear, but was it because I was in this room or something else? The curse still hadn't attacked me, just like before, but I was more willing to question it. I saw it in my head, just like I saw Van and Fenrir, but it was tucked away in the corner, sleeping like it had no cares in the world. That made no sense. These memories were important, and they never gave them up without a fight. So, why stop now?
"What the hell is wrong with you?" I demand of it, but it doesn't budge. "Wake up!"
It might seem crazy to demand the curse that literally tortures you as you remember something from your past to wake up, but it was too content.
