How do you deal with a reality where Fate gets what it wants?
You don't. There is no way to deal with it and be alright. At least, not for me. My world had changed again in one sentence, and I couldn't focus on anything else. Every plan I'd had was out the window, and my only obsession was changing the things I was told I couldn't change.
"Give me that book," I demanded, glaring at the man who had once been my brother. "Now."
"No," he stayed calm, but his stance was not of a librarian or a scholar. It was that of a warrior who knew far more than I did. "Even showing you that much was more than you should've seen."
"Then why show it to me?!" I raised my voice, not caring who heard us. "I need to know how to stop it!"
