You don't put as much stock into that because everyone goes to extremes about the concept. Ironic, considering what they are. Religions preach against it, media plays on it, and everyone else questions what counts and what doesn't. Still, we don't truly understand their impact until we see it in person. Even then, it's hard to describe.
I've fallen victim to these things before, and even now, I can't say I'm free of them. Maybe no one is but not like this. There's a sickness in the air, and everyone's infected. No one can look you in the eye because their obsession doesn't allow them to do it. They're looking at you for a fix and nothing more. I understand that, but it makes it harder to be here. I'm reminded of the things I've done and how far I fell.
