"Stop getting distracted!" Leviathan grabbed me before I could enter another store. "Besides, they don't sell anything real in there."

"How do you know that?" I demand, reluctantly walking away.

"I've lived in the world of magic much longer than you," he said, shaking his head. He then took me away from this area, pointing to the tunnel leading to another catacomb. "This is only the first mountain. Trust me, we want to go deeper into the range."

Have you ever seen a city inside a mountain range?

I never had, but now I'm experiencing it, and it's nothing like I expected. For one, calling it a city isn't right. There's no term for what this is. Twenty individual mountains comprise the entire city, each connected by tunnels and catacombs on the inside and bridges and roads outside. It makes places like Tokyo or New York look like rural little towns. 

The terrifying thing is most people here are local.
