"How do you end up everywhere?" I demand when I crouch beside Iggy, who looks up at me with his tongue sticking out. I almost believe he's greeting me before he lays back down.
"So, you know how August likes to experiment?" Sati turned on the other lamps, watching as I ran my fingers across Iggy's head. He was dangerous, but I'd never feared him. "Well, Panda and Iggy ended up as some of those experiments. They were normal animals once… not so much anymore."
"What did he do to them?" I looked up, knowing Iggy wasn't ordinary. For one, he could understand us. Second, he was always where Nefra needed him to be.
