"Well, don't you look… burnt out," The dragoness mused as I sat down. "I'm impressed that you're still standing. With as much energy as you're using, I'd expect you to be bedridden. Then again, you can't expect a royal to be like the common folk."
"You act like you know everything about me," I wasn't in the mood to play games. She was right. The curse hadn't hurt me, but I also wasn't stable. "Clearly, you don't."
"I'll admit that you surprised me," She swung her legs on the edge of her bed, unphased by anything. At least that's what it looked like. "You are very different from what everyone expected you to be."
"Meaning?" I needed more than she was giving me. Who knew about me? What had they expected me to become.
