I bowed to the nymph as she approached us, showing her the respect she demanded.
This was my first time meeting Campé, and I didn't know what to expect. There were myths about her, though not many, and they all portrayed her as an ugly, terrifying, and violent creature. I couldn't speak for the violence, but she was not hideous. However, she was terrifying. She holds a primal energy around her, and it's intimidating. Not only that, but she knows she's scaring you and uses it to her advantage.
Hundreds of animal charms are all over her arms, waist, and neck. They shouldn't have any power, but they do. So, it's no different if she were wearing the actual animal. Part of me wonders if they'd come to life if you tried touching the heads. It was a beautiful way to prove that you were as dangerous as the stories say.
Like other nymphs, she has that unearthly beauty about her.
