I'm tired, but I can't stop.
There's a price for taking refuge in Tartarus, and that's having to contribute. It doesn't matter who you are. If you live here, you give back, even if you're a criminal. The rules are strict, and I've come to understand and appreciate them, but they don't make it easier. It also doesn't matter if you think you can't help. You quickly discover that you can and that your skills are useful.
Coming here had never been my intention. Staying wasn't a choice I had either. I don't know how I shifted layers in the first place. One day, I was traveling through one of the towns, searching for information on Ivan, and then I ended up here. Well, that's only part of the story. I may be leaving out some details. Like the fact, I was almost engaged to a high priestess in said town and escaped before the ceremony.
