"You're falling asleep, love," I teased gently, hearing her slur a little. "You need to get some sleep."
"No, I'm good," she lied, forcing herself to stay awake. "Just keep talking to me."
We had been on this call for a long time. I never looked at the time, so I didn't know, but Nefra had obviously had very little sleep in the last few days, where I had weeks with nothing else to do. I wanted to keep talking to her, but I also wanted her to rest. The fact she was forcing herself to stay awake to talk to me wasn't good for her or the pups. Besides, the magic we were using was taking its toll.
"We have a way to talk now. This won't be the only call. I promise," I assure her, knowing it would be impossible for me to stay away now.
"But the time difference," Nefra sighed unhappily, knowing she was losing steam. "So much time passes for you."
