"Where have you been?" I demand, moving slowly across the training ground. It was the four of us. Me, Dylan, Trip, and Zaya who was busy trying to play with the rooster. "How are you human?"
"Long story," He confessed, glancing around as we moved.
Dylan hadn't come back like the brother I'd had before. His hair was long and unruly, there were scars on his wrists and arms where he'd been chained and had remained unhealed, and there was a wildness in his eyes I feared would never go away. There was still so much of him that was more wolf than man, and I desperately wanted to know what had happened. I might be upset at Dylan for disappearing like he had, but he was still my brother. He had to know I wouldn't be satisfied if he weren't alright.
"Well, I'm here," I wasn't sure how much he could understand. His movements were jerky, and his speech was broken. "I'm your sister. You can share."
