I didn't feel well.
It was so bad I had to sit on the couch while everyone continued discussing the plan. No one wanted Ivan, Bran, and Tay to go alone, but they couldn't break Melissa's rules. Still, there had to be some backup and precautions in case Melissa used magic or took their phones. Unfortunately, I was useless.
My skin felt like it was being stretched, all my organs were being rearranged, and my joints were aching. The last time I'd felt like this was in the third trimester of my pregnancy with Pen-Pen. The difference was that this was so much worse. I was starving, and the hunger felt like it was sucking away at my body. The only part of me that looked like I had any weight was my stomach.
Why had it stopped working?
