"I have a present for you," Tony led me down the Luna's wing to the end of the hall where the future Luna's office would be.
It had been vital for me to perfect this floor, and it cost a lot more than I'd intended, but it was okay. It didn't matter how tired I'd been because of the magic I was using to fund all this; it was worth it for this pack. Yet, this was the most important of all the areas we'd designed. This pack had gone so long without its Luna, and they felt that pain.
"You didn't have to get me anything, Uncle," Some things die very hard. Both my Latina and Indian heritage were big on respecting your elders, and calling Alpha Tony Uncle was just the way I showed him that respect. "My eighteenth birthday isn't for another few weeks."
"I know, but you're still planning to leave, aren't you?" I hated how sad he looked, and part of me wished I wasn't such a coward or jealous.
