"I don't think she's going to forgive us this time," Nefera sighed, following me to the last room on the fourth floor. "I've never seen her stop talking like that."
"It'll take her some time, but she'll get over it," I assure her, thinking about how my mother had stormed into her room and slammed the door behind her, not even waiting for my dad. "She's afraid."
"Which is our fault," She muttered, her guilt swimming through our bond. "I don't blame her."
"She'll be fine," Vince pulled the keys to the room out of his pocket, unlocking the door. "She'll get over it once she calms down... Are you guys sure we should do this?"
"I don't think we've got much choice," Odie frowned at the door, her eyes changing from their natural color to their strange mix of pale blue and green before shifting to her Shurakai red and purple. What was she checking for?
