"You don't look well," Caroline frowned, seeing my face pale. She was still like a skittish horse around me, but at least she wasn't yelling at me anymore.
"I'll be alright," I wasn't, but she could do nothing to help.
I'd seen what Ivan saw and felt it like I was there. Sharing a moment from Van and Valen's life with Ivan wasn't new. We'd done it already, but it was far more draining than when it was just me. The memory wasn't just a retelling of something that happened. We actually experienced it like it was happening in the present. That meant I felt all the emotions she felt, and my senses latched onto everything around me like it was real.
