That didn't mean I would sacrifice my family and life for his past. He blamed anyone who used magic for what happened when it was a small group that had nothing to do with the rest of us. Unfortunately, his pain blinded him, and he didn't care.
My issue was my lack of knowledge about the tribes.
Monica and Ava had touched on it during my studies, but not enough to prepare me for this. Why would they? The tribes only mattered once every five years when they discussed trade and regional changes. The rest of the time, they barely interacted. They hardly mentioned the word tribe unless it was an explanation.
