"How many plates was that?" Luke covered his mouth as he burped, setting his last empty plate in the middle of the table.
"I think you had ten," Vince groaned, leaning back in his chair and closing his eyes like he was going to sleep. "I've never been that hungry."
"I'm still hungry," I confess, staring at my empty plate. Everyone looked at me except for Cabe, who ate his fifth steak. We were in the center of the magical vortex, so most of the energy came from us.
"How intense was this ritual?" Danny was the only one at our table who hadn't been outside, so he wasn't affected by the demanding energy. However, he knew more about magic than the rest, so he wasn't shocked. "I haven't done grocery shopping this week. I don't think I can feed you, Branny."
"We'll have to stay at the packhouse for a couple of days," He grumbled at his mate, still devouring the mountain of potato salad on his plate.
