"He had a full set of the Shurakai spell books," I whispered, staring at the multiple volumes on the two bookcases. "He even has the master texts."
We were looking at the items in the shop. The journal had over 500 pages, and my grandfather had written in all except for a dozen at the end. It was impossible to read through all of it in the time we had. We couldn't know where the Arcana was, but I could sense Jushion's presence like a spider crawling over my body. What was worse was that he could feel me, too. Thankfully, our connection wasn't powerful enough to allow emotions or thoughts to cross over. It was just a terrible static that seemed to grow stronger whenever he got closer.
