"There's a real dragon king out there?" I couldn't hide the shock. What was more surprising was that I had met him, and he'd requested I make this beautiful ring for him. "Who is he?"
"I can't tell you that," Sati frowned, taking the ring back and setting it in the case. "Client confidentiality. It's in the contract we signed with him."
"He made us sign a nondisclosure agreement?" I almost laughed at that. Considering who he was, it was a good idea, but did we really do it?
"No, we made him sign one," She corrects me, and I'm left speechless. "Neffy, remember, we've always known what we are. Sometimes, we don't understand or remember, but don't think we weren't taught to protect ourselves. Anyone who did business with us was made to sign the agreement. It was the only way to be safe from everyone coming after us now."
