"Close them," I ordered, refusing to get out of the way. "And keep them closed."
"You act like I'll peak," Nefera rolled her eyes before closing them, holding her hands for me to grab. "Fine, just don't let me fall."
"Like I'd do that," With a huff, I grabbed her hands and started guiding her down the driveway.
Ben did everything I asked him to do. He'd ensured the trees weren't disturbed, so we'd have privacy from the front of the property, but we could see everything from the house. Nefera probably thought she knew everything about the place. Still, there had been several changes that even I had yet to see. I'm shocked they got it done as quickly as they had. The permits alone should've taken longer, but Ben assured me everything was legit and we wouldn't have an issue with the human government. It's always more manageable in the mountains, but I'm still glad we were here.
