"Night, Pen-Pen," I whispered, gently running my fingers on my daughter's cheek as her eyes fluttered shut. "I love you."
With an exhausted sigh, she turned her head a little and relaxed her body. The music and lights from the sound machine attached to the crib helped her ease off to sleep. This was still one of the best gifts for a new parent; fortunately, we had three. It was meditation by any other name, but it made it so easy for her to sleep through the night. I could only hope Devin was as responsive to the stimulation as his sister.
