Why did that name sound familiar?
It tickled the back of my thoughts, and I felt Black coral fighting it. So, I relaxed my thoughts, doing what my Abuelo told me and not fighting against the curse. Its attacks were more subtle now, and the voice wasn't there, so instead of being a full-scale mental assault, it was more like a migraine condition you had to live with. Still, not trying to resist, it was helping me, and I had to wonder how August knew to do that.
'He probably tested it on himself,' It wouldn't be the craziest thing he did.
"Jason… Walker?" It was Odie who spoke, her skin turning pale. "What does he have to do with this?"
"You know him?" I raise an eyebrow, hiding my concern. If Odie knew who Jason was, that couldn't be good for us.
"Everyone knows who he is," Brandon muttered, looking over at Ivan, who also looked wary. "At least of him."
