"Aim more to the left," Craven suggests, grabbing my waist and pulling me further back as one of the Wendigo jumps over the defensive line. "That'll account for their movement."
"Got it," Vince nods, with a second arrow ready to go. His training differed from Ivan's and Luke's. He'd done his time with the royals, which meant he was used to being swapped around more than those who worked in the human militaries. As he once told me, you go where you're told and feel lucky if you share a bunk with the same person two nights in a row. So even though Craven and he never worked together before, Vince was okay with it.
