"Well, this is going to hell fast," Luke muttered as another fight broke out between the Alphas.
"Yeah," Sighing, I watched as the others broke them apart.
"There's so much Alpha male testosterone here you could drown in it," Taylor made a face, handing Eric to Steven so she could finish her drink. "" The worst part, they're actually trying to behave."
"I shouldn't have tried it," I felt deflated. I'd hoped this would help everyone calm down, but it only served to bring out their aggression. "Sorry."
"Why are you apologizing?" Luke blinked, looking confused. "This is working out great."
"You just said this was all going to hell!" Sometimes, Luke made no sense to me. Granted, I was already on edge. But, between all the accusations and questions we'd had tonight, what happened with the Swift Feather pack, my pregnancy, and trying not to think about Flor's cryptic message that hinted that I knew her, I wasn't in an understanding mood.
