"Magicians?" Nefera raised an eyebrow, then bit her lip as she thought about it. "They're called that because they focus on ritual?"
No one bothered to ask how she knew that. With the way Nefera's memories popped up, it was better not to ask questions. The funny thing about our current predicament was that while the curse on me constantly fought to gain control, even though I was near Nefera, hers seemed to have become subdued. I've tried not to fight it, but that isn't working for me. It's worse when I sleep, but at least I'm not throwing up anymore.
