"Odie, like Garfield," I couldn't help bringing up the cute nickname.
"Yeah, that's why she called me Odette," She grinned, the tension that had come after she'd taken the pill now gone. The guys carefully listened to the conversation, but it felt like it was just the two of us talking. Strangely, that felt more natural. "If I'd been born a guy, she would've called me Odie. He was her favorite."
"Is your mom the Entit'a?" I was curious about how her family dynamic worked. She was a hybrid, like Liz and Aurora, and she could solve my questions about having a Shurakai parent. Was Odie given away too?
"Yes and no," Her voice was calm, and she never looked away as she spoke. "My father is a vampire, but I don't know much about him. My mother is Akaian from her mother's side and fae from her father."
