"Look at this," I looked through the documents on the computer and found the records of pack activity for the last decade. "They've lost at least fifty percent of the pack in the last ten years."
"Well, if their mates weren't werewolves, that makes sense." Nefera finished giving Penelope her bottle and walked back over to the desk. "That's what the kids said."
"No, someone was keeping track of that, and the wolves who left weren't just ones with non wolf mates. Look..."
Most of the wolves who'd left had werewolf mates. The thing was, they were from other packs.
"So, if their mate took them away, they left?" Nefera scrolled through the names. "What happens to them? Are they still part of this pack if they join their mate's pack?"
"That depends. Typically if you leave your pack to go to your mate's, you become a member of that pack."
