Nefretiri
"Oh fucking god," I mutter under my breath, leaning my weight on Vince, who looks ready to have a stroke.
This was too much. I was too tired and pissed off to deal with any more of this. Why couldn't anyone leave me alone? Why did someone have to make decisions without me? I was happy. Not fake, I'll make this work happy, but genuinely, and people thought I wasn't or that I deserved something else.
The worst part, everyone seemed to know things I didn't.
"So, you've lied to Ivan all this time? You knew Nefera was his mate since we were kids, and you did nothing?" Vince was so angry I'm sure if I wasn't holding him, he would've shifted, and Chase, his wolf, would've torn Adam apart. "You're telling us you had no resentments against him, but why didn't you tell him? Because you were in love with her? We're supposed to believe you?"
