Letting go of Aurora's throat, falling off her body, I land beside her. Gasping for air, Aurora coughs until she can breathe again. Then, before either of us can blink, we're both scrambling away from each other. The shock of the truth caught both of us off guard. At that moment, I knew Aurora had no clue who I was, and she wasn't expecting me to know who the Shurakai were. Someone set her up, but the question was, who?
It's strange because I don't feel the magic coming off her, but I know she's capable. But, of course, that's the same problem I had with Melissa and Ricky, so it must be a Shurakai thing. Still, with the silver, I shouldn't be able to see Lola, but Kali can, so does that make Aurora a hybrid like me? How did that change her powers? She obviously couldn't do the same things a pure Shurakai could or would have done them already. I needed to know more about her, and I couldn't wait for her to throw a tantrum.
