Marcus tries to pry Ivan's hand off him, but he can't. He cries out as Ivan puts more pressure on him, but my mate doesn't show him mercy. That doesn't stop me from glancing at the side door, expecting someone to burst through it from Marcus's cries. No, I can't allow that to happen. Just because we can't mind-link right now doesn't mean he can't.
The problem is I don't have anything to block the door. There's nothing that can stop a werewolf from breaking the door down. What can I use? The only things I see are empty crates of bottles and the dumpster, both too heavy for me to move. I could try holding the door closed, but they'd push me without trying.
