"We've still got him sedated, but you're free to go in and see him." Andy gives me a reassuring smile and moves aside so I can enter the cell. Ivan holds my shoulder and encourages me inside.
The room looks different from last time. Machines are everywhere, and they're all hooked up to my brother. They turned the cell into a small ICU. The cot had been moved so both sides were accessible, and the smell of antiseptic and herbs filled my nose. Even the sounds reminded me of a hospital, with the beeping of the monitors and the heavy noise of the mask feeding Dylan oxygen.
