I couldn't run anymore, and I was lost.
The road was impossible to see in the dark, and I'd lost my way in my urgency to get away from the wolves and the shooting. The only source of light I had was the explosions in the distance. Even the moon couldn't be seen, thanks to the dense trees. At this point, I'm willing to suffer more pain to climb one of them. At least that way, the wolves won't be able to get to me, and I can hide for the night. I'm in too much pain, and without real light, I can't find my way.
However, how do I climb anything with my weak upper body?
