At Lily's father's hospital.
*Beep...beep...beep*
In a private room, stable sounds of the heart rate monitor can be heard. Its wires are connected to Sam's body, taking the measurements in real-time. The vein on his right arm is attached to a catheter. Droplets of a blueish liquid drop down in quick intervals, constantly pumping medication into his body.
Surprisingly, all of his vital signs are doing fine, which is incredible for someone in the state of his body.
The young man lies on the bed with his right eye shut. On his left arm is a cast in white. The bones on that arm have been heavily damaged after all of the attacks from the 5 guys. The ribs also required treatments as they were broken with shards of bone punctured into his lungs. Numerous white patches and stitches spread across his scarred skin. He was put through surgery for all of his injuries. To which, Lily's father took 5 hours to fix him up, even with the advanced technologies this world has. If Sam were to live in another timeline, he would have been put through 12 hours of surgery.
A quick analogy for his status would be similar to a man hit by a speeding truck. He should have died already.
Pain killers with heavy sleeping properties have been administered to make sure Sam would not wake up soon. After so many injuries, he has gotten used to the anesthesia, which makes it complicated to put him on the bed for a few days. He needs this time to take a rest.
After the fight, Lily has once more called the ambulance to bring Sam here to take care of his wounds. Upon seeing him again, Lily's father, who is an ER Doctor, had a troublesome face.
In the mere 2 days, Sam has suffered exactly two times of life and death situations. It is not a lot, but it was weird that it happened twice. Ostensibly, he does not have high regard for himself as he kept putting his life on the line.
"Is this the man you want to be with?" After the surgery, her father asked outside of the waiting room.
"With every fiber of my being!" Her azure eyes showed the brilliant light of determination.
""Us, too!"" Yui and Yuno also replied strongly.
"Well, Lily. I'm glad that you are confident in this matter. But at least tell him to have some control, okay? I don't have the time to do treatments for him over and over again." Her father sighed. "And I see that you have competitions, as well!"
"But dad, he is my lover."
""Hey!! He is most definitely NOT!!"" The twins showed their concerns immediately.
He looked at Lily weirdly.
"Really?"
"...Yes..." She hesitated.
""No!!""
"Don't lie to me, Lily. I am your father."
"No..."
""Finally!! Truth!!""
"If Sam did become your boyfriend, we would have known. Because you would start asking us to help you plan the wedding."
"Dad!"
"Hahaha. Just kidding, just kidding. Anyway, I have patients. You stay with him and be his nurse, alright?"
"Thanks, dad!"
"Take good care of him for me, girls." He walked away.
Since then, Lily, Yui, and Yuno have been by Sam's side for a couple of hours. They have been keenly keeping an eye on Sam's vital signs. Of course, there is nothing that shows he is in trouble. They just need to check on him all the time.
Right now, inside of the room is only the twins. Lily has gone out to have her arm taken care of since leaving it for too long might be bad for her skin. She does not want to have a scar on it. Her body needs to be perfect so that one day she can capture Sam with her charms. Lily trusts that in Sam's current state, Yui and Yuno would not do anything strange to him.
"Yui is proud of Sam." Sitting on a chair with her elbows on her knees and her chin on her palms, Yui says.
"Yuno, too! Sam is so handsome when he fights!" Yuno remembers the event earlier. Her heterochromatic eyes light up.
"But how did he get that strong, though? He never practiced such magic before." Questions marks start to appear above Yui's head.
"Yuno has no idea." Yuno shakes. Although that to her sister may be something worth considering, to her, it is trivial.
"Yuno is the big sister, Yuno should know something? How about a guess, then?"
"But Yui has all the brains for the two of us already. Yuno doesn't want to think. It gives Yuno a headache!"
"Haaaaaa." Yui sighs. "At least show some efforts, won't you?"
"Nope. Thinking is too much for Yuno. Just tell Yuno who to kill and I will do it." She smiles brightly, raising her little fist. her legs dangle above the ground.
"It's not that easy. Yuno always goes overboard. We need to think carefully to cover up our tracks. Do you remember last year? If not for 'her' help, we would have been in a bad situation."
"Yuno doesn't remember?" She leans her head on one side, putting one finger on her lips.
"Don't play the cutesy game with me. It may work on him, but I know you far too well."
"Hmph. Yui is no fun!" Yuno pouts her cheeks like a little hamster.
Yui's face goes dark looking at hamster Yuno.
"Behave like an older sister once in a while does not kill you, you know?"
"Nope. Not gonna. We're only minutes apart anyway. Yui is the bigger sister because Yuno says so."
"That's not how it works!!"
"Ahem." Lily comes back to Sam's room.
"If you would like to have a family feud, please go home." She points at the door behind her back.
"Yui is not going back, right Yuno?"
"Yuno will not leave Sam alone with Lily and Yui. They will do adult things to him without Yuno."
Lily and Yui then look at Yuno weirdly.
"What?"
"Nothing!" Lily's face turns red and her breathing becomes slightly faster.
"Stupid Yuno." Yui sighs.
"What? It's true. I don't want you girls to have fun without me!" Yuno looks completely innocent.
"We are not sharing Sam, Yuno." Yui stresses.
"I know but if he is on the bed with Lily right here then how can we steal him for ourselves?"
"That...that's a valid point! How did you become so smart all of a sudden?!" Yui is clearly taken back by her big sister's answer.
"Hmph." Yuno pumps up her chest in pride. "Yuno is always smart when Sam comes to her mind! When Sam comes. Hehe!"
Looking at her sister with drools on her lips, Yui says.
"Stop thinking about those things!!"
"But don't you feel intrigued? Doesn't Yui want to take a look? I know what it looks like and how it works yet I have never seen the real thing."
Yuno looks closely at Sam's patient gown.
"Yuno wonders what size it is. Whether it fits. Yuno is a little small, maybe it will be painful?"
"Oh. My. Goddess. Yuno! Stop!" Yui has no other choice but to cover her sister's mouth.
At this point, Lily looks at the twin.
"I have seen it. Many times."
""Ehhhhh!"" The two girls widen their eyes in curiosity.
""How does it look? How big is it? What is the shape? Is it veiny? It should right?"" Yui lets go of her sister and join in.
"I will not allow you girls to take his gown off. But I do have a pretty accurate drawing and description of it here."
Lily takes out a notebook. The title reads: "Things to remember before sex."
""WHOA!!"" The twins come close to Lily.
"So that what it looks like. This is the normal state, and this is the enraged state." Yui mumbles. She is fascinated by Lily's accurate drawings.
While Yuno, while interested, is trembling slightly.
"Yuno is scared. This is a bit much..."
"I know..." Lily nods. "Even though biologically it is still just tissues and blood, it is very hard in real life."
"You have touched it before?!!" Yui stares at Lily in disbelief. "We should have cut both of your arms off."
"Oh. Of course, I have. Many! Times!"
Lily provokes Yui. Her eyes gleam with a dangerous feeling.
"Lucky...Yuno wants to touch it, too." The other twin says so. She longs for the real deal.
"Yuno! This is not the time for dreaming!"
"Yui keeps on distracting Yuno! What is wrong with you? I know you want to touch it! We sleep on the same bed, remember?" Yuno points at her little sister.
Yui's face turns red and looks away.
And Lily starts laughing at her embarrassment.
"Yui is always like that. Why can't you be true to your desires? If you keep on being so modest then we will never have the chance to touch it! Lily has already been dozens of steps ahead of us!"
"I...I get it."
"Say it with me Yui. I want to touch it."
"It...It's a little embarrassing..."
"As your older sister, say it with me. I. Want. To. Touch. It!"
"I want to touch it!" Yui says. Her face is a beet red color.
"Okay. Let's check it out!! Lily let's join in also. I know you want it."
Lily nods.
Then, the three come close to Sam's bed. Slowly, but surely, they flip the gown to one side.
"""Ooooooh!!!"""
"Having fun here, aren't we?!" A strange female voice says.
"""Eeeek!""" Like a cat being stepped on its tail, the three jumps up.
Behind them is a nurse, but there is something weird in her eyes.
The pupils are big as she stares straight at them. However, they feel like the focus is not there at all.
It is clear.
That is not a nurse.
That is 'Her'.
"Mind if I join? Lily? Yui? Yuno?" The nurse smiles coldly.
