Chapter 111 - Chapter 111

Danzel sat on the chair that was placed by his wife's side of the bed. He still had her hand that loosened due to her no longer being conscious. He glanced down at her face and could clearly see the tear stained face. She had been crying for the child, for him, or it was both. The words his uncle had said to him had been haunting him for several days now.

You raped her. Those words would not leave his head. Danzel did not see it as rape because she willingly went to his room. He thought that she was okay with it. It did take a while for the second time, but soon they were going at it like bunnies almost. He thought she enjoyed being with him. Was this all a lie? He didn't want to think negatively about this but he couldn't help it. She told him several times that he was just like those other men. Danzel pulled his hand out of her embrace and placed them both on his forehead that was hanging down. He shook his head. He was not like those other men. He would do anything for her. He had done all that she had asked him to do. He didn't want to be lumped up with those other men she despised.

"Jaysa!" He cried out into his hands. "How can I make you not hate me?" The door to the bedroom had closed and footsteps walked away.

Jaysa had finally woken up. She sat up and stretched. She turned her head in the direction of her husband. He was still sitting in the same chair he was before she fell asleep. He had one of his legs crossed and his head hung. The hand that she was holding in her sleep was now in his lap. She smiled gently. He stayed true to his word. He stayed with her. Slowly moving across the bed, she planted her feet on the ground. She pushed herself off of the bed onto her feet. A slight pain was felt on her lower half, but disappeared as soon as it came. She walked over to her husband and kissed him on the cheek. She felt him stir and his eyes slowly open. He looked up at Jaysa not realizing who she was at first. His vision cleared and he jumped to his feet.

"Are you okay? Should you be up? Are you feeling well? Does it hurt anywhere? Do-," He was cut off as Jaysa put a finger to his lips. She smiled.

"This time, I am fine. You don't have to worry." Danzel relaxed. A sudden growl could be heard coming from Jaysa's stomach. "I'm hungry though." She giggled.

"I'll get the maids to bring you something." Danzel spoke as he began to walk away. Jaysa stopped him by grabbing his arm. He looked at her and saw worry on her face. "What's wrong?" He asked as he cupped her face. She tried to bury her face in his palm as she spoke.

"I don't want you to leave." He could feel heat rise on his hand. She was embarrassed. He turned his entire body to face her.

"I won't be gone long."

"Please!" She begged. Danzel couldn't help but smile. He walked over to her bringing her into a tight embrace.

"How about we go together." He spoke out in a gentle voice. He did not hear her give him a verbal response. She just nodded her head instead. "Then let's get you dressed and we will head out okay." She nodded again.

Danzel had found a gown that would be appropriate to walk around without it being over the top or too tight. As the two walked down the hallway, Danzel couldn't help but smirk. She had been attached to his arm since they left the room. He wasn't sure why she was acting this way but he really didn't mind. In fact, he was jumping with joy on the inside.

The two had finally reached their destination. Before they left, Danzel had poked out of the room and called for a guard. When one came running towards him, Danzel gave the order of getting the maids to make some food for her majesty in the dining room. The guard nodded and made his way towards the servant's quarters. Danzel closed the door and turned towards his wife who was changing clothes. She saw him glancing over at her and covered her body. She wasn't as slim as she was before. It was embarrassing. Danzel just smiled and walked over to his wife embracing her from behind. He leaned in by her ear and whispered.

"You're beautiful no matter what." He let go of her and walked over to the bed. He sat down and watched as his wife finished dressing.

The two walked into the dining room and was hit by the aroma from the food. Jaysa was about to run over to the table as soon as she saw all what lied on it. There were several fruits, and fresh baked bread. There was a huge piece of meat she knew came from a chicken from the pieces that were in the basket. However, she still wouldn't let go of Danzel. So he had to walk with her to the table and both sat down. She used one hand to eat and drink while the other held tightly onto his sleeve. Danzel couldn't help but enjoy this. Jaysa slowed down on the bread that she had in her hand and spoke out to her husband.

"If I'm a bother to you, just tell me." Danzel looked confused.

"Where did that come from? Why would you think you're a bother? Because of what had happened. I know that you want someone by your side." She looked at Danzel who had a gentle smile on his face. She pulled the man closer to her.

"I just don't want you to hate me." She tried her best from keeping herself from crying. Danzel gazed down at her who had buried her face on the side of his shoulder.

"I don't hate you, I never will." He spoke as he embraced her. "I thought that you might hate me instead." Jaysa turned her head up to look at Danzel.

"Why would I hate you?" She questioned. Danzel stayed quiet. He wanted to forget what his uncle had said. He wanted to hope that the past was the past. If he brought it up, then it could possibly turn into something horrific. So he decided not to bother with that comment anymore.

"Never mind." He finally spoke out. "I was just worried that's all." Jaysa just gave him a puzzled look for a moment before eating again.
