Chapter 108 - Chapter 108

It seemed like an eternity while they waited for the doctor to come out from the other side of the door. When the man finally made his way into the hallway where the King and Joseph were, he was a bit thrown back. He saw the King sitting on the floor with his knees up and his hands clamped together around his knees. When Danzel saw the doctor step out of the room, he jumped up and ran over to the man. He hadn't noticed before, but the man had gotten a lot older since the last time he had saw him. The doctor's hair was now white as snow. His thin figure was covered by his white jacket he had buttoned up. However, what gave away his frame were the thin wrinkly hands that stuck out from the jacket. The man was wiping his hands and Danzel knew right away what it was. Blood. Fear struck Danzel's face. He could only think of the worst.

"What happened?" Danzel tried to ask, but his voice was shaking.

"I'm sorry." The old man began to speak. Danzel's face shook and the fear grew stronger. "The child had been lost."

"Wh... what about Jaysa?" He asked as he choked back tears that were threatening to come out.

"She is doing fine. She will need to rest."

"What happened?" Danzel questioned. The old man looked at the King.

"The baby was born stiff. It was a baby boy." He spoke.

"A... baby...boy..." Danzel said the words slowly. "He was...stiff..." Danzel suddenly remembered what Jaysa said to him about the poison. "No, she lied."

"Who lied?" Joseph asked.

"Jaysa!" Danzel's voice was low and dark.

"What did she lie about?" Joseph asked. He was completely confused to what his majesty was talking about.

"About the poison."

"No." Joseph spoke out in shock. "She would never."

"What is this about poison?" The doctor asked. Joseph looked at the man.

"She told his majesty that she was given some poison. But she said she didn't take it."

"That bitch lied." Danzel's blood began to boil with rage. He thought that they were finally getting to the next level of their relationship, but she had lied to him. Danzel wanted to rush into the room and kill that woman, but was stopped by both of the men before he could rush in.

"Sire! Please calm down!" Joseph tried to calm down the King.

"I'm going to kill that bitch!" He yelled in rage. He was trying to push the men away, but they help him in place.

"You can't do that!" Joseph yelled back.

"She killed my child." Danzel yelled out still trying to push past the men.

"We can't be sure." Joseph spoke out still holding his grown not allowing Danzel to leave.

"She took that poison to kill me kid. My baby boy!" He yelled. "So I am going to kill her!"

"What was the poison called?" The doctor questioned. He was trying to distract the King from the murder plot he might by cooking up in his head.

"It was called sonra! But who cares!" Danzel did not care what the drug was called. The fact that she killed his kid, he wanted to kill her. She had betrayed him. Even if it was his uncle that gave her the poison, she still took it. She still killed his child. The doctor began to go through all the list of drugs in his head. He knew he had heard that drug before. A soon as Danzel was able to get leeway; he pushed past the men heading for the door. Joseph was trying to keep him away from the door. The doctor yelled out just as Danzel touched the door ready to burst in.

"If she truly took sonra she would also be dead!" Danzel's body froze in place. His eyes were wide in disbelief of what he had just heard. Did he hear right. He wanted to make sure.

"What did you just say?" Danzel asked, his voice shaking. The doctor straightened himself up and looked in the direction of the King.

"The poison known as sonra is something no one would be able to live after ingesting it. That poison is meant to shut down the hosts internal organs and stop the heart from beating right away. Its methods are used mostly with assassins." The doctor stopped for a moment before continuing again. "But for you guys to know about it, it's just..."

"What you trying to say?" Danzel questioned.

"I'm saying that the person that was able to get this poison didn't want to just kill the child, but her highness as well." When he stopped speaking, he almost regretting speaking about this subject, however, he knew that his highness needed to know. The fear on Danzel's face hadn't disappeared, in fact it got worse. Joseph saw the pain that covered the King's face. It looked like he was about to have a breakdown any time.

"Doctor. If the young miss drank just a little bit of it, would that have the killed the child and not the miss?" Joseph asked. Danzel looked at the doctor waiting for a response. The man sighed.

"I apologize Sire. But if the young Queen ingested even the smallest drop she would be dead. The child would have soon followed." Danzel took in a breath. Even though he had lost their child, if she had truly drunk that poison, he would have lost her too. He didn't know what to think about anymore. His mind had turned off. He didn't want to hear anymore. However, there was still one that had questions about what could have happened.
