The next day, I woke up and got ready to go to the court case. I opened the door to see Song Ze Yu and Huai Ning waiting outside in the car. I jumped into the back of the car and asked, "Why is he here?" addressing Song Ze Yu. "Because he wanted to come," Huai Ning replied as I glared at him.
I haven't even decided on what to do with Song Ze Yu after that situation and now I am already seeing him. God. I don't know what is more awkward, being left in a room alone with Qi Yan or being with Song Ze Yu. As it turned out it was both. Qi Yan had also decided to go and watch the verdict. I was sat in the middle of both of them. Talk about awkwardness. I wanted to sit next to Huai Ning but Ze Yu stopped me from doing that.
This verdict is going to be very awkward. At this moment a secretary came in and shouted "Court," as everyone stood up and bowed. We sat back down as the judge walked in. I noticed in the cell Feng Xiu Ying was in chains. It looks like she hasn't changed much in these three years.
As I was judging Feng Xiu Yung she seemed to have noticed me. She suddenly went very crazy grasping the bars and shouting "FU HUI QING, GO TO HELL,". My head seemed to hurt quite a lot. What was going on? I feel like I have heard her say those words to me before.
As I clutched my head in panic Song Ze Yu hugged me and I heard him asking how I was. Through my head, many conversations were going on. My head seemed to be replaying what happened during this entire kidnapping. How I was kidnapped, how much pain I suffered and how I fell off a cliff. As Feng Xiu Ying was being restrained I noticed many people gaze at me. Some were even reporters, I saw them scribbling a lot of stuff.
I buried my head in Song Ze Yu's chest as he asked me how I was. "I just remembered what happened during my kidnapping," I replied. "Are you okay? Would you like to continue watching?" he asked in concern. I pushed away from him and turned my head back to the court case in reply. He laughed but continued to hold my hand.
I have a feeling the reporters are going to write a bunch of nonsense concerning me and Ze Yu's relationship. I can already imagine what the headlines for this news are going to be. Ugh. I suppose I have to deal with our love triangle sooner or later.
The defence lawyer (Xiu Ying's lawyer) stood up to give the last statement of this case before the verdict. He was talking about how Xiu Ying was mentally ill and she wasn't the main culprit. Apparently, the main culprit was a man named 'J'. He still hasn't been caught yet. Xiu Ying has already admitted to kidnapping me, she is hoping for a lighter sentence. I listened to Song Ze Yu explaining this to me as I watched the case. I should have made Wei Wei come with me, as a law student she would definitely explain it better to me.
When the defence lawyer was done, the prosecutor stood up for his turn to speak. In his last statement, he presented all the evidence that pointed to Xiu Ying as the culprit. There was even a recording of her asking 'J' to lend her people. The prosecutor also stated all the facts and evidence the police had found pointing her as the main culprit. The prosecutor then insisted that Feng Xiu Ying should be sentenced to life imprisonment.
The judge and jury both finished listening to both sides. The judge then asked us all to leave the courtroom for the jury to make their decision. I followed Song Ze Yu out of the court room as Qi Yan and Huai Ning followed us.
