Celestia
My eyes flutter open from a well-rested sleep. It feels like I haven't slept this great in ages with this baby. Ramon was still sleeping softly next to me with his back turned. I quickly kiss in between his shoulder blades and then shuffle out of bed. I paddle to the bathroom and look at myself in the mirror. Ugh, I looked awful and for some odd reason, I felt like looking nice today. I brushed my teeth, took a shower, and even managed the brush out the knots in my hair. I put my hair in a messy bun and then wrap the large towel around my body before I walk out into the room. I go to the closet and look through all of my maternity dresses. I skimmed back and forth through the clothing before I settle on one. It was a lovely cerulean robe-like dress that was sheer in the stomach area. It showed off my baby bump while the rest of the dress flowed loosely around my legs. The tule going to the bottom made me feel like Cinderella. I then sit at the mirror and stare at the makeup in front of me. Why the hell not. I pick up my brow brush, brush them out, and then add a tiny bit of mascara to my eyelashes. Lastly, I take my lip gloss and add a layer to my lips. I look a little more alive I thought to myself as I place the tube down. I get up and slip on my slippers before going to the kitchen to make myself breakfast.
__________
Ramon kisses my forehead as he greets me in the library.
"You look beautiful my darling, what's the occasion?" he asks.
"Good morning, just cause, I felt yucky this morning."
"Mmm, alright. What're you reading?"
"The Crown by Kiera Cass, love the plot twist at the end. You know, I was very surprised to see you pick this series out for me."
"That's because I've read this one, and the eight before it. I bought them all for you because one, I thought you would like them as much as I did, and two, you remind me of America."
"How so?"
"Her red hair reminds me of your fiery personality. And she took a chance on Maxon even if she didn't want to at first, just like you did with me in the beginning." he smiles.
"I didn't even think about it like that, you're so sweet,"
"I'm simply stating facts here," he replies as he steals another kiss. "Did you eat yet lovely?"
"Yes, I did."
"Alright then, I'll go make some food for my mom and Lilly then I'll come back with the laptop and we can talk about wedding plans."
"Oh right! Yay, my twelve-year-old self is internally screaming right now," I grin.
He chuckles and heads for the door.
"Don't tell me you were one of those kids that played wedding day."
"Oh yes, I went the whole mile. My mom even has a VHS tape of me trying to walk down our hallway in her heels and veil that she wore when she got married."
"Now, I'm definitely calling your mom. I have to see that."
"Even better, I'll let her play it at our reception."
"Definitely. I'll see you in a bit." he winks and heads for the kitchen.
__________
I place the bookmark inside of the book and lift myself up from the loveseat, making my way to the kitchen. Clarissa and Lilly were nearly finished with their breakfasts as came up to the counter.
"Good morning you two."
"Morning my future daughter-in-law," she smiles.
I smile back. I always smile when she mentions it.
"Morning Celestia! How's baby doing?"
"She's doing good, quieter than usual," I state.
"How so?" she replies as Ramon takes the plate from her and she gets up from the stool.
"She actually let me sleep well last night," I say looking down at my belly.
"I don't know how you all do it. I value my sleep way too much."
"Well, I got many more days of no sleep for me when she's born. I have a feeling that she's going to keep me up all night,"
"Oh she definitely is," says Clarissa as she enters the conversation. "This one here," she says pointing to Ramon. "Never let me sleep for a few months. I had to hire a caretaker just to get some sleep. All he wanted was to stay up. Half of the time it was to simply stare at the decoration hanging from the crib."
"Ha, guess who's the favorite kid now?" taunts Lilly as she sticks her tongue out towards Ramon's back as he washes the last of the dishes.
"Still me," he grins and splashes a few droplets of water towards her.
"Stop it you two, anyway, Ramon tells me you are looking at wedding plans today?"
"I am, would you two like to help?"
"Oh, that would be wonderful!"
"I should call my mom as well, I know she'll want to comment on things here and there."
"No need my love, she'll be here in twelve minutes," says Ramon as he comes up from behind.
"Huh? What do you mean?"
"I had her come over. Since my mom was here, I thought she'd want a friend and they could finally meet as well."
"You're right! Thank you for doing that. It was very sweet of you,"
"Sweet is my middle name," he says as he kisses my neck.
"Ugh, ew, gag. That has to be one of the cheesiest lines ever. Your middle name is Dace stupid."
"Dace? That is such a pretty name. I just realized that I never knew your middle name," I say turning to face him.
Ramon chuckles. "That's because most people don't know."
"Yeah, it was his great grandfather's name." replies his mother.
Before she can continue, the doorbell rings. Ramon goes to open the door and soon leads my mom into the kitchen.
"Hi, mom,"
"My little girl! Well not so little now, look at you! Ready to burst!" she says as she squeezes me in a side hug.
"And you must be Clarissa! Hi!"
"Hi! I am, and this is my daughter Lilly,"
"Hello!" Lilly waves.
"Hi, Lilly,"
My mom makes conversation with Clarissa and Lilly, mostly talking about children and Ramon and I getting married. I look to Ramon who gets the hint and he joins me as I walk myself back to the library. He goes to our room and comes back with the laptop in his hands.
"They'll be in there for hours I feel," he laughs as he sits next to me.
"Right, I'm sure Lilly won't be in there for long though," I smile.
"True, alright. Before we get into anything, what colors are we looking for?"
I giggle at myself and take the computer from him.
"What's so funny?" Ramon asks.
"Nothing, just laughing at myself, you're going to think I was either really bored or crazy."
"Why?"
"You'll see," I say as I log into my Pinterest.
I scroll down to the four private boards at the bottom and hand the computer back over to him. He looks at the computer screen and then at me.
"There's no way-"
"Yep, blame my twelve-year-old self."
He opens up the summer board and scrolls through, clicking on a few pictures as he goes.
"You really thought this through,"
"I did," I grin. "Although, most of those things are probably not my taste anymore."
"Makes sense, you did make this about eleven years ago."
"Well, at least we won't need to stress much about what we want. I've always wanted a spring or summer wedding in a mansion-looking venue, with a big backyard where we can dance under the stars."
"You've had the same dream since you were a child. Never change. And stop growing up so fast." says my mom as she enters the room and kisses the top of my head with a smile. She plops herself down on my other side and takes one of my hands in hers.
"Are you still planning that Disney-themed wedding?"
"Ha, no. I might sneak in some elements here and there but no."
She laughs just as Clarissa walks in with Lilly in tow.
"There you all are, how's the search going?"
"We didn't even need to do much, she's got everything on Pinterest." Ramon smiles.
"Ah, a woman after my own heart. We're going to be best friends." squeals Lilly as she sits in front of me on the floor after grabbing the laptop from Ramon.
"Oh my gosh, this summer board is so pretty. I love the colors!"
"Thanks, I was going for a light and flowy look," I state.
"Well, you definitely got that. I just realized that you don't have a dress board."
"I don't really know what I want to wear actually."
"Really? Then we should go dress shopping!"
"That would be nice, but, I'm currently ready to give birth at any day, so I think we should wait until after."
"Makes sense. Alright then. But when we go he can't come." she grins.
"What why not?"
"Because I'm not going to pass up the chance to see you cry for the first time in my life as she walks down that aisle and if you see the dress she picks then it won't work."
Ramon rolls his eyes at her but smiles as I lightly laugh and lay my head on his shoulder.
"We're gonna take her away from you for forty-eight hours before the day you get married as well."
"No. That's not gonna happen."
"Come on, you're no fun! We'll have a girl's night out, I can literally plan everything. I promise to keep your precious wife safe at all costs." she says as she draws an x over her heart.
"Fine. But don't tire her out."
"No promises on that." Lilly grins then turns to me. "So, who else are we bringing to this party?"
"My best friends of course." I smile.
__________
Lilly made me look at a few dress styles just to find a range of styles I seemed interested in while Ramon talked to my mom about my embarrassing wedding moments from the fake ones in our backyard to the real ones I participated in. It made me smile to see Ramon and my mother so close. And his mother got along real well with mine as well.
"If only our fathers were here," I say as I interrupt my thoughts.
Ramon looks at me with a slightly questioning face that was ever so faint.
"I meant that it would be nice if they were here and bonding as our mothers did," I say.
"That would be nice, but unfortunately my father doesn't bond with anyone. And it's how he raised me to be. But my mom was there to twist his ways and make me the person I am today."
"Well, I'm glad she was there."
"Yeah, me too," he replies smiling.
His phone vibrates on the nightstand on my side and he lifts his head gently to see.
"Can you look at that for me?" he asks.
I pick up his phone and look at the notification.
"It's from James," I say. But then I look at his lock screen. It looks like me. From this morning.
"When did you take this picture?" I ask.
"This morning," he smiles.
"You were awake?"
"I was,"
"And you watched me the entire time."
"Yes, it was lovely to watch I might add. Very cute. The second you dropped that towel to the floor I was ready to pounce, but sadly I must wait."
I narrow my eyes at him but a smile plays across my lips.
"You're very naughty Mr. Osgood."
"I could say the same for you when you slipped on that matching baby blue set underneath. Mrs. Osgood," he responds as he glides a hand under my dress and pulls at the fabric of my underwear.
"Don't start something you can't finish," I warn him.
He simply smiles and kisses my forehead, pulling me closer. Then he whispers in my ear.
"Just because you're pregnant doesn't mean I won't stop pleasing you, I am still perfectly capable of eating out that pretty little pussy of yours."
I shiver under his voice and bite my bottom lip.
"Well in that case," I whisper as I part my legs slightly.
"Do as you please. Sir."
