Chapter 40 - Madesa

Ramon

I have never felt fear, not when my father threatened me, not when his business crumbled down the first year it became mine, not for anything. But for the first time in my life. I felt fear. I thought I was going to lose her. I couldn't handle that. I shook with fear, so much that the nurses became worried about me. But I told them to put all their focus on her because if she wasn't okay, I was sure that I wouldn't be either. Celestia was my ride or die. My she moves, I move. My magnet.

__________

"Is she going to be okay now?"

"Yes, she'll be perfectly fine. It was just a blood clot that had formed in her arm. We took it out as quickly as possible. It's best to let her rest and stay here for at least a day or two, just to see how she feels.

I sigh deeply and finally fall back into the seat I had moved next to her bed. I kiss the top of her hand that I had been holding for hours and lean against the bed. I feel a hand on my shoulder and I slightly turn my face to see who it was.

"How is she?" asks my mother.

"They said that she'll be fine. She's just going to stay here for a few days just to make sure nothing else happens."

"Alright, I don't even need to ask if you're going to stay by her side cause I know that you are. If you're hungry or anything just call me and either I or Lilly will bring something over for you."

"Thanks, mom."

"Of course hon," she replies as she walks out of the room. Leaving me alone with Celestia again.

__________

It took her a few hours before she woke up after the doctor took out the clot.

"My Queen, you scared the living shit out of me," I whisper to her as I smooth her hair.

"What happened? Wait. Where's our child?"

"Shh, don't worry, she's fine my love, I was just worried about you. You held her for about a minute before you-"

I swallow the lump in my throat and closed my eyes for a second before I open them again to look at her.

"You had a blood clot that formed in your arm. I was scared that I was going to lose you."

She looks at me fondly and smiles as she brings her hand to my cheek.

"You could never lose me. I'll always be here. Literally, till death do us part."

I smile back and kiss her forehead.

"I love you,"

"I love you more," she smiles.

"I love you most. Don't try to say anything after." I smile back. "I'll go ask for our little girl," I state, then leave the room before she can get a chance to say anything else.

__________

When the nurse comes back with our baby, I watch as Celestia's eyes light up with happiness and it warms my heart. The nurse places her on Celestia's chest and her arms fold around the baby's body. The nurse also checks on how Celestia was doing as she fiddles with the monitor.

"Hi there, she's so precious and so tiny." Celestia grins.

"Mr. Osgood, are you and you're wife ready to name her?"

Celestia looks at me, then back at the baby.

"Aurelia suits her. What do you think?"

"It does suit her indeed, My little golden one," Celestia smiles as she rocks her back and forth.

"Alright, I'll get the paperwork, and Mrs. Osgood, you're all good to go and you're free to leave when you want. I'll get the release form as well." says the nurse before leaving the room.

"Mrs. Osgood huh?" she smiles giving me a look.

I laugh lightly. "I couldn't help myself. The opportunity was right there on the form and I took it."

"Now what if you get caught?"

"Don't worry my love, I won't." I smile.

"Speaking of names? What about a middle name for her?"

"I wanted to have her middle name be after you and Clarissa." Celestia states. "But I haven't found a name."

"Why don't you make one then," I suggest.

"Really? I don't want it to look weird you know, I'd figure I just pick a name that already exists. Or we can just take one of the other names we had for her and make it her middle name."

"Well, I like the idea of combing them," I say.

"Combining what?" her mom interrupts as she walks inside the room.

"We were thinking of combining your name with my mother's name as Aurelia's middle name," I reply. "We could do Marissa or Madesa," I say to answer Celestia's question.

"Madesa sounds unique. You don't hear that name every day. It has a nice ring to it." she says.

"I like that- oh, looks like little Aurelia wants to be back with mommy," replies Madeline.

She hands the baby over to Celestia and kisses the top of both their heads.

"Alright, I'm gonna go back to Clarissa and Lil and say bye before I go to my meeting. I'll see you later my sweet."

"Meeting?" Celestia questions.

"Oh, I did forget to tell you! Ramon, I thought you would've told her by now. I'll be moving here to New York so I can be closer. It's time that I start moving on from our old house. There's no use sitting there with all those rooms."

"Really? That's great mom! I can't wait to see your new place!"

"Yep, I'll be sure to send you the address once I move in. Who knows, maybe I'll find a job to keep me occupied as well."

"Just don't stress yourself out ma,"

"I won't I promise, I might be fifty and have some gray hairs but I'm still young and moving, I'll see you later my sweet. Congrats again." Madeline laughs before she leaves the room.

__________

"Our mothers have been keeping an eye on her for hours while you were asleep." I laugh, smiling at Aurelia's little hand wrapping around my finger.

"I feel like if they could have another child they would."

"You're right," I chuckle.

"I'm so happy she's here."

"Me too, she looks just like you,"

She smiles in agreement as continues to rock Aurelia.

"Hi sweetheart, how are you doing?"

"Hey Clarissa," Celestia grins as she looks up. "I'm okay," she replies.

"Just okay? Do you need me to call a nurse for you?"

"No, I'm fine. I'm ready to go home with Aurelia. Being in the hospital for so long is starting to get to me.

"Tell me about it," my mother rolls her eyes smiling. "I wanted to leave the hospital bed and just run, especially after spending 14 hours on it."

"Fourteen?!" she gasps.

"Yep, Ramon was a breeze but Lilly near refused to leave, anyway, may I hold her? I've been dying to hold her since I could only see her through the glass."

"Of course!" Celestia replies as my mom comes over to the other side of the bed and she gently hands Aurelia over.

"Hello, Aurelia, such a pretty name for a pretty girl. Does she have a middle name?" she asks.

"Yeah, it's a mix of yours and my mother's. Madesa."

"Awe you two are so sweet. My, I haven't heard the name Madesa in ages."

"You knew a Madesa before?"

"Years ago, I think around high school. She was such a sweet girl though I only remember her because of her name."

"Mom, I got you the soda you asked for-awe look at her!" says Lilly as she enters the room with a can of sprite in hand.

She moves to the side of Clarissa and smiles at Aurelia as my mom holds her.

"By the way, your friends are here, they're on their way up."

"Ahh! I can't wait for them to see Aurelia." Celestia grins.

Celestia asks for help to get up from the bed and I follow her to the bathroom and close the door behind us. I brush her hair out while she brushes her teeth, then I help her back in bed just as Stephanie and Lucy enter the room.

"Congrats bestie! Oh my god look at her she's so cute and tiny!" says Lucy.

"Thanks," Celestia grins.

"Can I hold her?"

"Sure,"

"Hi, baby! Your godmother has arrived and she's gonna spoil you with so many clothes. Yes, she is."

As Lucy and Stephanie gush over Aurelia, I look back down at Celestia and smile at her. She looks up and smiles as well.

"What?" she asks in a faint voice.

"Nothing, Just looking at my wife."

"Soon to be,"

"Same difference, I considered you as my wife since the day I first said I love you."

Her smile grew and her eyes looked deeply into mine.

"God, you make me so happy. I love you."

"I love you more."

"I love you most-ha I win."

"For now," I grin.
