When Brightfin stopped by her door at sometime past the hour of six o'clock, she had felt it then; those giddy jabs that tormented the insides of her belly, kicking mercilessly and tickling all the same. She could not lie about it, her excitement was well overboard and she'd been looking forward to the night out with Rochester just like he'd promised when he came to visit her before.
"Did he tell you where he's going to take me?" she could hardly contain her joy when she asked Brightfin that. She knew her cheeks weren't the only part of her face that was beaming, her eyes had to be glowing as well from how happy she'd got. "Tell me Mrs. Phellipe knows at least if you don't know, and huh, no stutters. Please, help because I am seriously losing my mind here just thinking about it. Tell me she knows where we are going."
All Brightfin did was shake her head.
"No?" Louisa's eyes wore a cloak of disappointment over them. Her shoulders plopped as well.
