Jonas got up slowly from the seat and he mindlessly walked out from Dr. Lei's office.
Where could have gone wrong?
When Louise became blind, he searched for every eye specialist but none could cure her eyesight.
Some of the examination shows that her blindness was the result of a post traumatic stress disorder. In short, it was psychological. She chose not to see the light of this world.
Dr. Lei sighed and pondered. He wondered how brutal the person who caused this to a young girl and made her lungs bleed.
Jonas walked at the corridor with an empty mind.
He tried to think hard.
Every time he has business trips, Louise was left to Whitney and Dorothy as they were fond of her. They loved and showed genuine care in front of him.
Louise never said a thing to him either about this abuse.
He sat weakly on the bench. His strength ebbed away as he tried to make conjectures of where could have possibly gone wrong.
Then, his cellphone rang. It was a call from the mansion.
"Yes Fil?" He asked with a cracked voice.
"Sir... Our security camera has long been tampered. The footage were all deleted and could not be recovered." Butler Fil reported.
"How long?" He asked.
"Sir?" Butler Fil couldn't get him.
" The footage, for how long?" He asked with a hint of anger in his voice.
"Ever since Mr. Whitney and Ms. Dorothy came." Butler Fil reported honestly.
"Okay. Don't tell anyone of this yet. I need to investigate this thoroughly." Jonas gritted his teeth with anger.
How could they?
He thought too highly of them and yet this is the price he has to pay.
"Yes Sir." Butler Fil sighed as he put the receiver down. He could not believe it. Of all people who have hurt Ms. Louise, they have to be.
Jonas slowly got up from the seat and walked towards the glass panel and put his hands over.
He wanted to hug her and say sorry. He wanted to say that he did it because he wanted her to have a family of her own.
But this decision of his almost caused her life. He didn't think it thorough enough.

The 24-hour passed without any hitch and Jonas sighed relief.
He started his work beside her on the hospital. He also investigated Whitney and Dorothy and he came shocking news one after another.
Almost. He almost married such a venomous woman and made Louise's life a living hell. He could not help but berate himself.
If they could scheme him like this then they should be prepared to be retaliated.
A series of knocks came from the outside and pulled out Jonas from his deep thoughts. He closed the window that displayed the information of his investigation in his laptop. He adjusted his mood and voice before he answered.
"Come in."
The ward door pushed open and Whitney came in with Dorothy in tow.
She placed the basket of fruits on the bedside table and Dorothy arranged the beautiful white lilies on a vase.
