Chapter 8 - 08

It's been a half year but Louise didn't wake up.

Jonas moved her to a small villa on the outskirts in Capital M.

She still laid down on the bed unmoving but the respirator was removed as she can breathe on her own after a week from the operation. What left was the IV drip for nutrients.

The once healthy young lady became bag of bones and her skin became fair that the green veins were visible enough to puncture it in one go.

Jonas began to take action covertly. He started from the small companies under the Du Group.  He wanted to swallow them whole without spitting the bones.

On the surface, he was still amicably smiling and showing concerns for Du Group. The turmoil slowly became big enough to cause chaos within the internal management of the group.

Whitney became less active on showing fake concerns for Louise's situation.

Du Group Headquarters.

"Who?" Whitney's face was distorted with anger as she questions the company directors.

"It was a company from D city Ms. Du." A small voice echoed inside the meeting room.

"Name?" Whitney, heaving with anger questioned the Director of Acquisition.

"LM Group... It was a new company that was listed a year ago." Ms. Chang, the head secretary, said.

"Then, can we put up a fight?" Whitney continued to ask.

"Ms. Du, we have a short cash flow as of now because of the joint project with the Morgan's." Another Director said.

"How long can we stand if we retaliated?" Whitney asked. She new that the collaboration must go on. They have put up a huge capital for this.

"This..." Ms. Chang's voice trailed off.

"What?" She darted her a cold glance.

"The LM Group had a huge funding. They had an unlimited funds as they continued to snatch our resources." Ms. Chang handed out her investigation reports.

"What? How come you didn't tell me anything? Why wait until now? How useless!" Whitney began her tirade as she read the financial report of LM Group.

Ms. Chang pushed her glasses up and wordlessly stood beside her.

The directors became silent as they noticed the visible change in Whitney's face.

"Bullsh*t!! You never told me any of this? The nerve of you!!" Whitney seething in anger, flung all the reports on the table.

"Stacy Chang! I didn't pay you to be this incompetent! Now, solve this on your own!" She abruptly stood up and angrily walked out from the meeting room.

Stacy pursed her lips with frustration. She tried to tell her about it many times but she just brushed her off and told her that what can a newly listed company do to them.

Thus, it resulted to this.

"Ms. Chang, what will we do now? Those projects that were stolen were not important but it won't do us any good if this continues..." Director Wu said with worry.

"I'll handle this. For now, let the CEO calm down. She will think of a solution for this." Stacy said without any emotion but the glint in her eyes betrayed her inner rage.

Stacy tidied up the documents silently and the Directors followed.

"Meeting adjourned." Stacy walked out from the meeting room carrying all the reports.

One after another they followed out.
